Prabowo swears in Syahganda as government communications chief
President Prabowo Subianto on Friday swore in Syahganda Nainggolan as head of Indonesia’s Government Communications Agency (Bakom) and Fadli Tri Hartono as his deputy.
The appointments were made under Presidential Decree No. 106/P/2026, signed in Jakarta on October 1, 2026, concerning the appointment of Bakom’s head and deputy.
The newly appointed officials pledged to uphold professional ethics and carry out their duties responsibly during the swearing-in ceremony.
Syahganda, a political analyst and activist, replaces Muhammad Qodari, who was appointed secretary and member of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres).
Under Presidential Decree No. 107/P/2026, Prabowo also swore in members of Wantimpres, appointing Pratikno as chairman and Hatta Rajasa as vice chairman.
Other appointees included Sinta Nuriyah Wahid, Muhammad Quraish Shihab, Agum Gumelar, Chairul Tanjung, Said Aqil Siradj, and Rocky Gerung. After taking their oaths, the newly appointed officials signed the inauguration minutes, witnessed by Prabowo.
Prabowo, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and other government officials in attendance then congratulated the newly appointed officials.
